Asbury Park Boardwalk Engagement Session
There is something magical about the Jersey Shore. Even more magical, is this special town right along the coast with the Jersey Shore towns, Asbury Park. Full of budding artists, art murals, and really old, and really funky historic casino and carousel buildings, Vicky and Matt had their engagement session here.
It was a unusually cold November day for our session. The wind was really powerful and the air was frigid. Vicky and Matt did not let the cold damper their shoot. We spent the shoot laughing, blowing around in the wind while shooting.
How adorable are these two?
I love incorporating night light shots in all of my sessions, and thought what better of a shot then the abandoned Asbury Park carousel? After their session (and taking advantage of the AMAZING golden hour light which peaks right as the sun goes down for the day), we chatted about favorite movies and hobbies while we waited for that final light to go down before setting up my lights for this shot. I kept telling them this shot would be worth the wait, even tho it was getting colder by the minute as the light disappeared. I captured the shot, showed them my screen. Their eyes lit up!
Do you think the shot was worth it? Check out these images from Vicky and Matt’s engagement session at Asbury Park. The night shot is at the end. Check it out!
I cannot wait to photograph Vicky and Matt’s wedding this coming spring in North Jersey!
