Amanda + Anthony | Wedding at the Mutter Museum | Philadelphia Wedding Photographer | Mutter Museum Wedding |
I was blessed to capture Amanda and Anthony's Philadelphia Wedding at the Mutter Museum!
The full name is a mouth full! It is the Mutter Museum of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia.
Anthony and Amanda found me because a old co worker of mine recommended by work to them. When I first met them, and they talked about their wedding day, I knew I was the perfect wedding photographer for them! They wanted a unique venue, surrounded by family and friends, partying the night away.
Just a little history on this beautiful museum. The Mutter Museum in Philadelphia has a been a favorite museum of mine for awhile, and when I learned that they held weddings there? I was SO excited.
The Mutter Museum is a historic building that was built in 1909. The Mutter Museum has collected over 25,000 medical oddities, samples, and medical historic items, all based on donations from famous doctors of the time era.
It is now open the public, and welcomes curious visitors to learn and see its collections. The Mutter Museum also does weddings, making it one of Philadelphia's most unique wedding venue!
Now, facts aside, lets talk about this wonderful wedding held here!
Amanda started the morning with a relaxing bridal prep surrounded by her best lady friends at a local hotel. They all spend the morning sharing stories about Amanda, how they met her, and shared the stories of the many traveling journeys spent with Amanda. Amanda and Anthony are avid world travelers, I forgot to start off with that! As a fellow travel fan, I was quickly impressed by the many countries Amanda has ventured to.
The Mutter Museum has a beautiful medicinal herbal garden on the property, and this was where their vows where being exchanged. They wanted to do a first look, so the garden was the most beautiful and romantic first look backdrop. Anthony was all smiles as Amanda went up behind him in the garden, and when they saw each other, their reactions where priceless.
Their outside ceremony was just beautiful in the garden at the Mutter Museum. Since they did the first look before the vows, Amanda and Anthony where able to mingle and enjoy some cocktail hour!
Their reception included great dancing, many beautiful speeches, a beautiful wedding cake and just lots of fun! The space the reception held in was one of the grand halls, which was beautiful with its giant ornate windows which flooded light in beautifully.
Amanda and Anthony where such a pleasure to be alongside on their wedding day. It is so exciting to be a wedding photographer and to meet wonderful couples. It was a honor to photograph their wedding day in Philadelphia at the beautiful Mutter Museum.
Now, enjoy some photographs highlighting their biggest day, their wedding!
