Whimsical Micro Wedding Inspiration at the Awbury Arboretum

To showcase our services in the wedding industry, myself, Heather Boswick of Boswick Photography and Alex Schoenstadt of Schoen Films, the beautiful arboretum space, Portico, partnered with several vendors for a beautiful wedding editorial.

Philadelphia, PA — In the late fall of 2020, myself and numerous talented New Jersey/Philly based wedding professionals, gathered together to showcase our skills. The resulting editorial shoot was full of colorful florals, a stunning couple, whimsical garden vibes while incorporating a micro wedding feel while keeping the elegance of a wedding. The Awbury Arboretum features a stunning historic building with full windows that flood in natural light, surrounded by beautiful nature.

“The grounds of Awbury Arboretum were laid out in the 19th century in the English landscape garden tradition by William Saunders. They include botanical gardens, specimen trees, meadows, wetlands, birds, native wildflowers and grasses, even a Secret Garden. There are many gathering spots for photos and ceremonies - all with different vibes-enchanted forest, verdant lawn, shaded clearings, English garden, white peaked tent, all as picturesque and charming as can be. “

Once the private enclave of an extended Quaker family, the Arboretum is a green oasis in a densely-populated urban environment with the Francis Cope House as its centerpiece. The venue's capacity is 175 with outdoor dining in a white tent and use of the house with its Portico and surrounding landscape.”

We found the most incredible plates, and tablewares from Everyday Fancy, to create our whimiscal tablescape in this beautiful nature filled outside space. We kept the pops of color in the table florals compliments of Amber & Earth, perfectly complemented everything by creating vibrant and dimensional florals that made the table POP. Amber & Earth even made a beautiful moss covered micro table that made everything feel so magical!
